The growing population in old age has put great challenges in mental health. However, the response to mental healthcare needs is often fragmented and poorly coordinated. From the view of a complete state model of health, providing continuous holistic care for older adults is necessary to address mental health challenges. Also, the preliminary findings of social prescribing in improving older adults’ cognitive performance will be discussed.
