Introduction :
Integrated birth centre, a midwife-led model of care, provides a peaceful and harmonic atmosphere enhancing positive birth experience. It allows easily accessible and timely referrals to obstetrics and pediatric support.
Objectives :
To empowers the pregnant woman and provides a woman-centered and evidence-based approach to choices related to obstetrical care. To provide individualized care since prenatal period throughout labour, birth, and after birth for low-risk women.
Methodology :
Suspension of the service in 2015 after decanting. Preparatory works including protocols and guidelines, staff training and multidisciplinary drills were conducted before its resumption of service in October 2023.
Result & Outcome :
Woman-centered, safe and satisfying care was provided. An evidence-based of choice enhancing positive birth experience for low risk women.
